Volunteering with the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme is a fantastic way to see an exotic location and give back to nature, whether you’re looking for a new job or taking a break.
Volunteers can participate in the non-profit organization’s two- and four-week programs to assist with marine conservation projects like shark spotting and data collection. You can experience Maldivian culture and explore the exotic island outside of work. Although it is technically a holiday for employees, it is for a good cause and will look great on your resume.
Please keep in mind that you will need to contribute money to join the program. The rent for the research dhoni (boat), lodging, food, and project-related costs will be covered by the fees.
