The initial travel products are made by local suppliers. As previously stated, experiential travel is closely associated with either unique, out-of-the-ordinary services offered by specialized, niche businesses or traditional, authentic practices that can only be demonstrated by locals.
An amusement park, a Bedouin renting a camel, a ski resort, or a Chinese farmer showing off his rice field are all examples of organizations that provide tours and attractions (T&A) services. If they show tourists around or arrange guided tours of any kind (pub crawls, coffee tastings, mountain trekking, you name it), some of them can be called tour operators.
Inventory is distributed to all other players, including the end customer, by local suppliers, who do not have to source it themselves.
